I've finally put together a list of my upcoming felting classes & Workshops for anyone in the NH area looking to learn some of my techniques! They will be taking place at the Currier Museum Art Center in Manchester, Exeter Fine Crafts in Exeter, NH, and at The Black Sheep Fibers Studio in Center Barnstead, NH!

I also made an updated list of upcoming craft fairs and events!
You can find them on the Classes and Events pages

Yesterday was the Currier Art Center Student Show- Among all the sculpture & paintings were felted creations made by 4-6yr olds in my Creative Fluff class! Working with this age group has been a real challenge, getting them to stay excited, and to find the patience that felting requires, but it has also been quite the learning experince!

The pieces displayed were a large wet-felted class mural made of layered pre-felt shapes, each student had a smaller wet-felted mural, and each had a puppet creature looking down on the audience :]

I will be leading this same 'Creative Fluff' class at the Currier this Spring, so if you know any 4-6 year olds in the NH area, sign them up!

I recently updated my etsy.com site to include both the regualar 3-4in size, and now a bigger 6-8" size sculpture- which Pacha's order was!
You can see them in my etsy store: www.feltedfuzzies.etsy.com

I now have my work in the Newburyport Art Association Gift Shop! My work was very well recieved during the Holiday show, so i'm excited to see some new creations in the Gift Shop- in there now are a collection of carousel ornaments, and a number of new bird sculptures, and a bighorn sheep, fox, and others! I hope anyone local will visit the NAA!

I've been leading some 'Outreach' classes through the Currier Art Center- this one was for a homeschool group in Weare, NH!

For our first class, we made Picasso-style portraits, and the latest one was Felted Landscapes- Needle felting with the older kids, and wet-felting with the younger group! Here is an image from the Needle Felting group. I find I love community art, and being able to introduce kids to art who may not noramally have access to it.

Another outreach I'm doing is through NHIA, working with the Bring-It! kids from the local Manchester High School! The NHIA students plannedit all- I'm just there to help with two collaborative felted murals!

From now until April 9th is the Art Center Faculty show at the Currier Museum! It was so exicting to see three of my creatures displayed on a pedestal in the Museum, and I've had wonderful feedback from artists, students, and museum staff alike! On display is the Woolly Mammoth, Giraffe, and Siberian Tiger :]

I've been working on felted murals! The first one finshed I'm calling '15,000 BC'- the imagery was taken from 'The Hall of Bulls' in the Lascaux caves, in France. As the title indicates, these images of bulls, deer, bears, and other animals were painted over 17,000 years ago!!
